If the heater hoses are getting hot, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

My 2007 Lacrosse is running hot. The top radiator hose gets hard when the thermostat is in place, but collapses when its out?

Thermostat needs replacing. The wire spring inside the top hose that keeps the hose from collapsing has eroded away. You'll need a new hose too.

How difficult is it to access the control valve? I didn't find it under the hood so I am assuming it will be under the dash. The fan is working good, and the car is coming up to temperature beautiful.

The heater in my 2007 buick lacrosse is barely giving enough heat/ What is the problem?

First check the radiator and make sure it is full....If not fill
check your hoses that go to the heater core to see if they are leaking....Your heater core might be bad which is most likely the case.
