Wheel bearings and ABS light

I had the same problem and mine were replaced, but the ABS light didn't go off. I have a 2000 Blazer 4.3 4x4. The hub, wheel bearing, and wheel sensor all comes together. A mechanic put it in and said the metal magnetized and that is why the ABS light doesn't go off. Is that true and if so, how do I get it to go off?
