I have the exact same problem with my Malibu Classic (well, recirc is "stuck on", no way to turn compressor off and rear de-icer is stuck on, hogging current from my alternator); Only temporary workaround is to pull grey plug from behind CCS head (the 15-or-so-pin female connector), or pull fuses; The problem is in a downstream micrprocessor circuit that uses various sensors to determine "is it ok to engage compressor?" (ie engine rpm not above 5500); So, defective sensors? Probably not. Crappy firmware? Probably so. Screwed? Depends on how clever you get. In any case this has been going on since the 1997 models.
