Replacing severe

The SRSCM sets DTC B1322 if
there is any fault in Weight Classification System.

In contrast to the initial
one-stage airbag systems, newer restraint systems involve complex logic to
select, or alternatively suppress, various levels of safety system deployment.

Inherent to an advanced
Restraint System is the ability to discern information regarding passenger
occupancy.

It is intended that these
inputs be provided through the weight measuring OC system.

The object of such safety
system is to reduce the risk and level of injuries by automatically adapting the
airbag(s) and seat belt pretensioner to the driving status of the vehicle, its
occupants, and the crash severity.

The current OC system covered
in this specification continually senses and classifies the front passenger side
seat.

OCS is utilizing a robust
weight measuring technology. Thus, if any of the following conditions occur,
'command zero' and 'accuracy check' should be performed

The weight classification ECU
or any of the sensors is replaced.

The vehicle is brought to the
repair shop due to an accident or a crash even though the severity seems to be
minor.

The passenger airbag ON
indicator is off (not illuminated) when the passenger seat is not
occupied.

The passenger airbag ON
indicator is delayed more than 10 seconds before turning off when an adult
passenger is seated in the right front seat.

The passenger seat is removed
from the vehicle and re-assembled.

Any accessories (side table,
seatback table and seat cover, etc) are replaced or installed.

B1322 WCS(Weight Classification System) ECU Defect -- still under warranty. The current OC system covered in this specification continually senses and classifies the front passenger side seat. OCS is utilizing a robust weight measuring technology. Thus, if any of the following conditions occur, 'command zero' and 'accuracy check' should be performed after checking WCS Diagnostic Codes. The weight classification ECU or any of the sensors is replaced. The vehicle is brought to the repair shop due to an accident or a crash even though the severity seems to be minor. The passenger airbag ON indicator is not illuminated when the passenger seat is not occupied. The passenger airbag ON indicator is delayed more than 10 seconds to be turned off when an adult passenger seats in. The passenger seat is removed from the vehicle and re-assembled. Sounds like the blower motor resistor is shot. it's located under the dash on the passenger side behind the blower motor.

I have problem on airbag codes in mitsubishi lancer

Your first code is for low system voltage. If your battery has needed a jumpstart lately or replacement, this code will be set.

The second two codes are in relation to your rh side airbag (B1C2D) and curtain bag (B1B22) not being visible to the srs ecu. Has the car been apart for any reason, possible leaving harnesses unplugged? Was it in an accident recently and maybe the bags are missing? Were components removed for accessory installations (stereo, subwoofers, etc)?
The connector for the curtain bag is in the passenger side rear most pillar. The connector for the side airbag is under the passenger seat.

A weak battery can sometimes throw other miscellaneous codes like these, but it is not likely. If you clear the codes, the B1C2D and B1B22 should come right back.
If they do, and both bags are installed correctly, You can bypass them with a 3 ohm (three ohm) resistor and clear the code again. If the codes set again, there is a problem with the wiring leading up to the squib units. If the codes do not set again, there is a problem with the squib units.

I have a 1996 k1500. How do you reset the air bag light?

If the light is on there is a problem. You need to have the codes read and diagnose as required. When the problem is fixed the light can be turned off with the scanner.
I hope this helps.
Thank You,
Roy

I would like to know if the car has been in a accident? if it has then the clock spring and computer should of been replaced, the seat belt should not be an issue, The car has a accelerometer in the computer if it is defective it would cause this problem, how ever it is common procedure if a car is in an accident to replace the air bags, the computer and the front and side crash sensors If it has not been in an accident then The only thing I would suggest is to go to this web site http://www.airbagsolutions.com/contact.aspx they charge $20.00 to diagnose the problem and can do it over the phone ans will have the experience and know how with this unusual problem.

Air bags and seat belts

2 seperate inventions. They are not connected to each other to make them work. Air bag SENSORS are mounted on the vehicle and FORCE will activate them.
