Old post day, so other can learn.
stuck on you mean but NOT KEY OFF right?
the fastback has rear wiper , ill pretend not that...
front wiper stuck on, (most times that is a bad wiper motor the gear box has a bad, SUSTAIN contact switch.
but here, on this car, no computers, no magic logic modules
its just a classic wiper and switch.
the motor has 1,2,3,5,6 wire pins. (not sure why they skipped 4)
1 is ground skip that.
key on , bat goes hot ,12v,
if the switch on the lower left is bad (shorted)
this is the SUSTAIN switch.
pin 3 wiper off is 0v.
if pin 3 is 12vdc wiper off(again key on)
then the switch lower left is shorted inside the gear box.
seen vast like this on man cars.
the main switch not seen here can fail too, but but that will cuase 12v to be on pin 2 or 3 failed, to find if main switch is bad one can only do continuty tests on that switch, because the secret
jumper seen below, when failing there, makes it seem like the main switch is bad but is not,
one can pull the connector and ohm out 3 to 6 , if 0 ohms its a bad gear box, (er, motor assembly) the red upside U below is the main switch in OFF, it jump 3 to 5. like this. and no power to it from main switch.

this is all i could find out.
The fuse is the safety device that breaks the electric circuit if it exceeds the safe level. If your fuse blows then there will be no way to stop the electricity from reaching the windshield wipers. This will cause your wipers to constantly keep going. ... You can easily tighten it and the wiper problem should be resolved.26 Feb 2013

I have a 2007 mustang an the wipers wont turn off I had 2 pull the fuse to turn them off can u help me


The windshield wiper motor is a smart wiper motor with an integrated electronics module. The internal components of the motor are the high/low relay, washer pump relay, and the run/park relay and associated electronics.
The windshield wiper motor receives its inputs from the windshield wiper/washer switch. These signals are ground reference signals. When the switch is placed in different positions, various input signals are selected and sent through circuits to the motor. The windshield wiper motor module identifies these selected input signals and activates the motor to the selected function.!
Your probably going to need a new wiper motor ! ! ! But you should always test before replacing parts !
Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Windshield washer pump hoses
  • Windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft
  • Bussed electrical center (BEC) fuse 10 (30A)
  • Smart junction box (SJB) fuse 3 (10A)
  • Circuitry
  • Windshield wiper motor
  • Windshield washer pump
  • Windshield wiper/washer switch
  • The wipers stay on continuously
  • Circuitry

  • Disconnect: Windshield Wiper Motor C125.

  • Disconnect all the windshield wiper motor connectors.
  • Check for:
    • corrosion.
    • pushed-out pins.
  • Connect all the windshield wiper motor connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
  • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
  • Is the concern still present?

INSTALL a new windshield wiper motor. REFER to Wiper Motor in this section. TEST the system for normal operation.

Mercedes c230 windshield wiper starts on its own


Car has rain sensing windshield.Most likely you have the wiper on/off level in the intermittent position,which turns on the sensor. When the sensor detects moisture or even dust sometimes. It turns on wipers. Just make sure the wipers are off and not in the intermittent position.

Windshield Wiper System The windshield wiper system consists of :

The windshield wiper control module is:

The windshield wiper motor is:

The turn signal and windshield wiper switch features a:
  • Rotary wiper switch.
  • Push type washer actuator.
OFF/Low/High Speed
  • Has a two-speed, permanent magnet, three brush electric windshield wiper motor .
  • The windshield wiper motor has a brush rigging that permits selection of low or high speed.
  • When the turn signal and windshield wiper switch is in the LO position, the common brush and the blue/orange wire brush are used, and the windshield wiper motor operates at low speed.
  • When the turn signal and windshield wiper switch is in the HI position, the common brush and the white wire brush are used.
  • In HI position, electric current will bypass a portion of the armature winding causing the windshield wiper motor to operate faster.
  • When the turn signal and windshield wiper switch is moved to the OFF position, the windshield wiper motor will continue at low speed until the park switch outer contacts open.
  • When the park switch contacts open, the windshield wiper motor stops in the park position.
Interval
When the turn signal and windshield wiper switch is in the interval position:
  • The wipers make single wipes separated by pauses.
  • The rotary switch is on the end of turn signal and windshield wiper switch .
  • The length of the pause can be set from approximately 1 to 17 seconds.
  • Length of pause decreases as the rotary switch is rotated away from off.
  • Length of pause increases as the rotary switch is rotated toward off.
While in the interval wiper mode:
  • It is normal to hear a slight click at the beginning of each on/pause cycle. NOTE: When using interval wipers, the first wipe may not occur until after a pause of up to 17 seconds.

Windshield wipers wont turn but the wiper motor runs


you likely broke the plastic gear inside the wiper motor by turning wiper on when wipers were frozen to glass. you will have to replace the motor.
you can buy motor on Ebay cheap.
you have to remove screen at bottom of windshield for access. remove side windshield mouldings to be abe to get screen off.
watch very, very carefully how you get wiper linkage out or you will have a hard time getting it back in.
