SOURCE: Hyundai AMICA -- Engine starts but will not rev

First check the cable from the accellerator is moving the throttle linkage on the engine. If your cable has broken you will not get any response from the pedal.

SOURCE: I have 2005 163BHP Hyundai Terracan 2.9 CRD and

I have one, a so called Box (piggyback), that simply connects to the harness near the common rail. It claims 204 hp and apparently works as supposed but at the same time makes the (natural) diesel ping louder. It adds so much to throttle response at low rpm, that the cuise control cannot handle a steady speed. Even minor adjustments makes the engine react too much, immediately causing it to throttle down - and up - and down and so on. Might be that at proper chip remap works better, but this box does not meet my requirements. Can not recommend.

SOURCE: side light bulb change on hyundai terracan

hi there
the solution is simple,
you only need to undo the screw on top of the side light/indicator. then facing the head light place a flat headed screw driver under the bottom lip of side light. the bottom of the lihgt is on a small push fit stud, use a sponge or cloth to protect your bumper paint work then just apply pressure gently to lever side light out towards you, It will come dont worry, you may then change your bulbs if you wish remove the whole light unit you will see the bottom bolt as soon as you release the side light. to replace just push back into place then replace screw. whole job takes about five minutes

hope this helps kevan hildred

Hyundai Accent intermittent jerking

Revs.
As for the issue of the idle revs, that's perfectly normal. When it's cold outside, every car is supposed to have a higher rev in order to warm up the engine quickly. In more advanced cars, the computer wont even allow the engine to shift into overdrive when it's cold outside in order to avoid extreme engine stress and damage. When it's warm outside, the engine doesn't need to idle high because the engine is already at a good operating temperature. Not much will be needed to get it to the right temperature.
Intermittent Jerking

There is a long list of things that could cause intermittent jerking. I'm going to name all of them for you, but your best best would be to go to a mechanic and have them do an inspection.
Clogged PCV Valve (Possibly if you don't get your oil changes on time, sign of a tune up)
Bad DIstributor Cap (not likely at 140,000 miles)
Clogged fuel filter (Very likely, usually done with tune up)
Bad Fuel Pump (Not so likely)
Defective ECM (also not likely)
Vacuum hoses/leak (not likely but possible)
MAS (Mass Airflow Sensor--not likely but possible)
Fuel INjectors (if so, sign of a needed tune up)
Faulty Spark Plug Wires (not likely if tune up is recent)
Faulty O2 Sensors (possibly)

Clogged Catalytic Converter (Possible)
~Hope this helps
