Have the fuel pressure checked- this would determine if your fuel pump is working properly. Its really easy if you have a gauge. you might be able to rent one at a part store. or it could need a new fuel filter

Could have a seized brake caliper perhaps? Easy fix for the DIYer. however if it is a bad caliper you should fix it quick before it warps your rotor, also a clogged brake hose is usually the culprit for seizing the caliper so if it is seized you should change that too.

SOURCE: Hard downshift on 2003 cadillac cts. When I coast the car without breaking the car jerks as it passes 20mph and 15 mph. It also happens when I gas the car. It feels like i'm running something over
actually you have to change transmission fluid every 75000 miles and this car have a dip stick it on the transmission pan you seek the professional help because they need to replaced the filter also and do the flash for bather performance
