Check motor mounts, transmission mounts, and u joints on the drive shaft. it could also be bad ball joints somewhere in the front end, or even unbalanced tires.

Aveo 2006 has an Engine light ON and Car is shaking when trying accelerate. Car is not been able to pick up the speed with putting full pressure on the accelerator.

Yeah, it's worth it. Probably a coil pack. But this is a guess. When you take it to a garage and they diagnose it. They tell you this is the fix. They are liable.

I think I have a timing issue. My car takes a second to start up and the car jolts when it changes gears. Also, my steering wheel shakes left and right when I'm driving at low speed

Ok,

same car with the AC problem. Timing is not going to make this all happen.

  • If its jaulting as an automatic, through the gears, then probably check and change the fluid and the filter in the transmission. Usual jolting is from lack of fluid pressure, caused by lack of or blocked filter.

  • Start up could be anything from a weak battery to lack of fuel/choke. Try a new fuel filter, air filter element, check your oil and change the spark plugs.

(Symptoms of bad ignition timing are misfire and run on also extreme lack of power and rough idle. The car will also shudder and keep running a few seconds after the key is switched off.)

  • The steering shaking from left to right at low speed could be a few things. Is it only happening at low speed? Sometimes its hard to tell at high speed as it is happening so fast the frequency is almost unable to be felt. However when you brake it should be pretty strong if its a mechanical fault, ie disc warped or bent wheel.

Shaking engine...

taking it that you had the timing belt changed
the job may not have been done correctly and the belt is not tensioning properly resulting ion a harmonic fluctuation that is your problem
if the job was done by a local mechanic take it to an accredited Honda service center for a diagnosis and if it turns out to be the fault discuss warranty rework or have the job done professionally and have the mechanic pick up the account

you could have air in the system. first try an fill the resevoir to a proper level then with engine running turn steering wheel all the way to the left until it squeals, then to the right till it squeals. repeat this several times if this doesn't cure the problem change the pump only I seriously don't that the gearbox is bad. please rate this
