Did you use a special wire harness? GM connected some computer system wiring with the stereo system, so if you replace this, there will be no chime when you open your door with the headlights on or keys in the ignition...and some other warning stuff. This special harness can be bought, but it is expensive (around 80-150$). Go to electronics store and ask for one. Anyways, hope this helps.

SOURCE: A/C Orifice Tube on Sunfire
Hello lindabg68: My name is Roger and I can answer your question for you. First make sure the system has no pressure. Locate the high side refrigerant line that comes up from the bottom of the condenser. Not the top line. Remove the bolt holding the line together. You should see the orifice tube in the long side of this tube. Please rate the quality of your answer. This is how we know you received the correct information. You need to raise the vehicle and start it. Remove the plug near where the passenger side driveshaft comes out. The head of the plug is 7/16. Trans fluid will stream out of the hole when the engine is running when the transmission is full, If fluid doesn't run out, fill the trans until fluid runs out. The fill cap is red and it is on top under and around the air cleaner box. If you need more help let me know.
