SOURCE: engine light 2006 pontiac g6(reset)

first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. SOURCE: What is the tirck to change the headlights on a

  1. On the back of the assembly, unplug the harness that goes to the bulb.
  2. Then pull off the rubber sealer.
  3. There's a wire clip that goes along the bottom side of the bulb to hold it in place. Push that clip in (towards the front of the car) and down to release it.
  4. Pull out the old bulb.
  5. Insert the new bulb the same way (do not touch the bulb as that will cause it to exploded later on from the oil residue. Clean with rubbing alcohol if you touch the glass)
  6. Twist it back and forth to make sure it locks into place.
  7. Replace the clip by pushing in and up until it clicks into place.
  8. Replace the rubber sealer. Push around the entire edge until it snaps into place.
  9. Replace the wire harness.

SOURCE: how do I expose the motor on a 2006 pontiac g6 to

Remove everything from the headliner and remove all of the trim holding it in place. Carefully pry the headliner out from one side and the rest will now be easily removed. Unless the car has been subject to abuse and intense heat the headliner will not come loose from the backing and can be reinstalled.
