SOURCE: dash warning light

Do you mean the ABS and BRAKE lights? If so, the ABS module is bad which causes both lights to come on. After rebooting, the module gets tested and the ABS light will come on after a few seconds. If it a module problem the BRAKE light will also come on. The brakes will work normally, but will not provide the anti-lock feature.

SOURCE: Brake lights don't work

Hello
Welcome to FY
There is a switch under the dash at the brake peddle, this is a place to start, if there is power here, and no brake lights i would replace the switch.
there is a fuse for the power to the switch.

Toggle the 4 way flasher switch on and off a few times and see if that corrects problem, if it doesn't replace the switch.

2005 jeep liberty brake lights don't work, none of them but fuses and brake light switch are good.

maybe brake light switch located near your brake petal needs adjusting...its simply a push button that the brake petal hits as the brake petal is depressed usually u can just pull on them toward you and they'll "self-adjust" after pressing on brake petal...push on brake petal with ur hand and make sure this button is depressed while the pedal is down...

Gear shift stuck in park - brake lights are working - we have checked all the fuses. How do we remove the cover on the shift panel?

First check for a loose vacuum hose to the brake petal. Most models use this safety for engaging the tranny by depressing the brake petal and then selecting the drive or reverse gear.

The brake lights stay on even when the car is turned off

Adjust the brake light sensor closer to the brake petal under the dash board. Either the switch has been moved back or the petal is not returning completely to the top. I am willing to bet it is the latter. If the switch is being depressed fully, and the problem still exists, then the switch is not functioning properly and needs to be replaced.

How are the rear brakes on a 92 Loyale 4-wd adjusted?

On most cars the adjustments to rear brake shoes are done automatically using the parking brake. Once you install your drum, pull the parking brake lever up sveral times, there is a mechanism that rachets up the brake adjuster. You would have seen these if you took the shoes off to install the new cylinder. You have to do that until the parking brake can just pull the lever up in to locking position.

2001 sonoma parking brake petal wont lock into place

There's a ratchet in the top of the pedal which holds the pedal down when depressed. This ratchet is worn, broken, loose, or it just needs lubricating. I would first try WD-40 on the top of the pedal where it attaches to the frame/chassis.

Air around break petal

It sounds as though the diaphragm on your vacuum assist has ruptured. This will cause a hissing sound and less brake you may also notice a change in the engine idle speed or a rough idle until the hissing stops.

Front brakes feel mushy after being replaced

You have air in your break lines. The two ways you can solve this problem is have the breaks blead to get the air out of the lines, or you can take the top of the break reservoir and pump your breaks to the floor. DONOT DO THIS With the car moving. What this will do is force the air to the reservoir.

Most likely your vacumn power brake booster has failed. It is not rebuildable. You will need to buy a new one.
