Question about Honda CR-V

Open Question

Honda crv vibration

The steering wheel almost locks and then shakes and vibrates, I've had bottom ball joint changed and rear diff mounts changed replaced n/s/f wheel bearing and abs sensor and hub assy changed, replaced rear diff mounts and bushes too. The garage is baffled to what it could be because they road tested it twice and it didn't happen when they drove it, but it is not consistent, it happens different times, please help

I have a 2012 Honda CRV with has vibration at approx. 50k the tires have been balanced but doesn't help

taking it as a vibration and not shakes
check all cv and "U" joints in the drive lines
check engine mounts fir serviceability as a failed mount will allow engine vibrations back through the body
if is the shakes have a wheel alignment done
a vibration could also be from a warped disc rotor so keep that in mind as a possible cause and take it to a brake specialist shop as a last resort

Honda crv steering wheel shake

great danger there. dont go fast.
can be tires out of balance (tire weighs feel off)
or wheel falling off (ever check the lugs)
tire bad. (bulged, delaminations , man killer tires, like Firestones)
tire rods balls, ready to fall off (more man killers)
ball joint ,ready to fail. and far far worse...
why not get the car serviced, have them check it out before.... bad happens.
noise and vibration or shaking on any machine means , doom is coming. in most cases,.

the problem could be be energizes from worn out shock absorbers but the real problem is from need a wheel alignment
check all steering ball joints first and then get the alignment done
have the shop check for bearing adjustment as well before the alignment

I have a 2005 Honda CRV and get an intermittent vibration in the front end when going anywhere from 35-49 mph. Usually on straight road. Lasts for say 10 seconds then stops. New tires. Alignment if...

best guess is to have the CV joints checked, make sure that the boots are good in the outside joints. but it could also be the inside joint just has to much wear. you are at the right mileage for either to be the problem, the next time you get the vibration put a little pressure on the steering wheel in one direction then the other and see if the vibration goes away if it does suspect the CV joints. and don't just replace the outside joint replace both half shafts. if the vibration does not change or go away when you put pressure on the steering wheel then suspect lower ball joints.

Have you checked motor and transaxle mounts?

Have you considered a loose steering rack,
internal or mounts?

Have you considered lower ball joints

How aggressivly do you take off? Can you feel this "vibration" in the seat when you "take off"
Does it change if you turn the wheels to one side then "take off"
Anyone look at the rear ?
Look at the transmission and engine mounts
Look at athe Strut mounts
Low Ball Joint on both fron and rear
If tis helps please give me a fixya rating and if you need any further help please contact me here or
