Question about Honda CR-V

Open Question

My transmission on a 2004 honda crv has a couple problems. Firstly, periodically it gets stuck either in park, or, when you are driving and you go to put it in park it will get stuck in neutral. The other "new" issue is that the vehicle seems to be coming out of drive and slipping into neutral?.?? Any thoughts would be great... The dealership appears to be stumped?

2001 honda crv I'm driving but can't take key out of ignition in Park could drive but key is stuck won't come out

Sounds like you need a new ignition. If its really stuck you will have to get a replacement key and a new ignition. Usually not to expensive and any competant shop can swap it for you. You also might want to check the neutral safety switch. That is the only switch that has to do with your drive park position.

WHEN DRIVING MY '97 CR-V CAME TO STOP PUT IT IN PARK BUT IT STAYED IN DRIVE HAD TO TURN IF OFF, KEY STUCK IN IGNITION HAD TO UNHOOK BATTERY, UNABLE TO GET IT OUT OF DRIVE

Could be the ignition switch. Honda issued a recall on 1997 CRV ignitions in 2002.
Go to www.ahm-ownerlink.com and under quick tasks, click on the Get Recall Information.

D" blinking is showing on

The PCM senses an abnormality in the powertrain system. Get the code checked, probably a pressure switch though.

The flashing D is a warning signal that there is a transmission problem. Sorry. Below is Honda recommendation for fluid changing.

Also, you coould check this Honda Auto Trans Flush Procedure - Official

Hope helps.
