SOURCE: the blower on the fan is stuck on high...we have

This is most likely the Blower Motor Resistor located near the Blower Motor. This controls the Fan Speeds. Usually when these fail it will only work on the High setting, meaning it does not work on settings 1 or 2 or 3 (with four speed setting). This usually located behind the dash Glove Box and mounted on the fire wall . You will need to take the Glove Box out to access. It is approx 3 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches in height. It is defined with 3 or 4 wires going into it. It is easy to remove (two (2) 8mm bolt/metal screws) and replace. Purchase the part at the auto parts store versus at the dealer to save you a lot of money.

If you mean the heater blower speed rheostat it is located slightly behind the blower on the passenger side under the dashboard.

The high speed on the A/C blower works but the lower speeds do not. How do I get the lower speeds to work again?

You probably have a faulty resistor. They are usually located either on firewall under hood, at passenger side, or on housing under dash.

I have a 2004 santa fe, the A/C blower only works on high. There is power from the control head to under the dash, but where it goes into the fan there is no power except for when it is on high

How about when the heat is on? You might have 2 reostats, one for heater one for A/C.The reostat controls blower speed Most cars only have one ,but who knows seen stranger thjngs,I have had bad blower motors only work on high.My guess would be a reostat.

check the wiring to the heater motor and the reostat, they are known for the connectors melting. also the reostat may be blown (the reostat is a number of resistors that control the fan speed)

the problem could be either the motor is bad or the reostat (it controls the speed of the motor is faulty.) the reostat is located in the blower motor housing and has two wires going to it. the blower motor is located either on the passenger side fire wall inside the cab behind the glove box or on the fire wall under the hood. please rate this
