Multitronic gearbox Hello, I have an audi a6 2003 saloon 1.9TDI multitronic gearbox, engine code AVF368068 80000mls on the clock, when the engine is cold and i drive forward car move verry slow and need a lot of rev to make the car moving, once the engine warm up here comes the problems, when moving of, i have to accelerate to about 1000-1200 revs and keep steady until the car start moving of if not the car just jumps verry badly. Also while building up spead car sheaks(judder). When griving at about 80-90 km/h on cruise control which is somewhere under 2000 rev, engine keep reving, if i drive faster, over 2000 rev, everything is fine. Audi dealer told me is the torque, a gearbox specialist told me is the forward clutch...from what i read on forums and other websites looked like clutch plates, i have seen also some guy fixed this by changing some wire harnes from coil... I was wondering if can be as dealer said from torque?Thank you verry much.

This is a strange problem to be having, I can't imagine why is would be doing this. This only thing I can think of is that the clutch isn't connecting with the transmission. However I would agree with Arnie, that you shouldn't ask a dealer! I would take your car to someone that specially deals with transmissions. http://www.gearboxexpress.com.au/service...

Dont ask a dealer-bettr advice from privatemechs--ur car needs a datastream run-to show values whats goin on in the system--specific gear is used not a cheap code reader--the computer may hav issues-unplug it and clean the connectors-then see if it clears anything--ur library has vehicle repair books

Replacing crown and pinion for audi a4 2000 multitronic

i suspect a LAY SHAFT BEARING but without a drive i couldnt say ,if its the pinion and crownwheel then i doubt this but it just needs setting up to a wiggle woggle on the backlash this is achieved by moving the crownwheel in or out of mesh with the pinion by adjusting the cap bearings ,but removing this gearbox and playing around with it on advice of who knows who is not advisable ,with it on the bench in front me i can do this adjustment with my eyes shut and just feel it but its taking it out for starters ,now this tiptronic type box with the paddle controls or whatever uses hydraulic transmission oil in the gearbox which doesnt do the crownwheel any good at all as EPoil is needed for this and it has the same oil as the autoboxes ,best advice is to find one in the scrapyard and just change it complete.Like the early minis with automatic gearbox and the engine oil running through the lot .URGH showing my age here i think

Don't know because they were only introduced in 2001, and they are doing well so far.
Supposed to be better then a normal automatic.

I have an audi a6 2.5tdi v6 multitronic automatic 2002 when I put it into Drive the car moves but judders, vibrates loudly and doesnt change gear

Ouch, I suggest you check the fluid level of the transmission. If the fluid is OK, you need to ask around about a good gearbox repairer.

Engine misfire/engine shake/selects wrong gear-A4 multitronic 08

Hi Frank I am a technician with audi myself It may be that you require an engine e.c.u and not a gearbox one however has your A4 had any recalls carried out on the gearbox since purchase if not that would definately be something worth checking hope this helps.
