SOURCE: Hood is jammed closed, inside latch will not

I am not familiar with this particular car, however MANY times I have opened a hood by having one person hold the lever up (or out), while another presses down or hits with a closed fist, the hood near where it latches. After you get it open, thoroughly clean and lubricate the latch mechanism. I hope this helps you get in.

Hatch closes tight then opens

The latch is not engaging all the way. It temporary does than release part way. It is similar to a hood latch. When you close hatchback the l?tch mechanism is supposed to close around the pin and lock tight for some reason your latch spring back a little. Could be the spring or locking clip. Might need a new latch mechanism. Easy to replace. Car won't lock because mechanism is broken

Hood wont open

It may be that your hood release cable that runs from the hood release is broken. You'r going to have to try and manually release the hood latch by tripping the release through the grill with something like a long screwdriver. You should be able to identify the latch trigger by following the cable to end.
You might also try having push down on the hood while another person tries to trip the latch if the cable isn't broken, but just stuck.

Hood does not close completely

Thank you for the inquiry.
Sometimes the latch will work loose from the top of the hood. It will usually be sitting in the opening that it latches too. If this is the case, just re-fasten it to the hood. Check for other interference (Screw driver handle in the way etc.....) confirm the fasteners on the hinges are tight and in alignment, and also make sure the receiver catch is fastened properly and aligns up with the latch pin. If your latch release cable is sticking get a can of graphite lubrication with the small needle nose nozzle and lubricate the cable and work it with the in the cab release lever until it frees up.
Hope this helps helps. Please keep us updated and remember to rate this answer.

Trunk pop open when driving

close hood and lift up on hood to see if it stays closed.
if not, check inside car to see if latch(that you pull) is in the correct position. you can tell when hood is closed that there will be some tension on latch.
check under hood, where hood closes on latch of hood, is tight and secure(no loose bolts)
also check cable if broken.
only those things can cause hood to pop open.
if all visual inspections check out and still continues to open while driving then the latch (the mechanism that hold the hood down) is bad. vibrating while driving will cause it to open.

How do you get the hood open if the hood latch wont open

You will need to reach under the top of your hood to see if you can locate the release cable. There should be one on either side of the hood. If you can reach the cable and manage to get one side or the other released, a repetitive bouncing up & down motion on the hood should cause the other side to release.

Alternatively, if you find that the cable has broken inside under the dash, you cat tru to expose the end of the inner cable in order to be able to grasp onto the cable with a pair of vice grips or other form of plyers. Pulling on the inner cable should release the hood latches.

Very close quarters, and tight tolerances.
