Question about Mazda MAZDA6
Car tries to start but will not run checked every thing as far as compression, fuel press. spark and they checked out good. Tried resetting pcm, checked all sensors. spark plugs are getting fouled, second set already. got it running the other day and let idle for a few minutes, moved it, parked it now same thing all over again I did put some oil in the cylinders that time and the new spark plugs. could this be the solution. one more thing; the CEL flashes 8 times and the immobilizer light is flashing even after I unlock the doors with key.

Before changing you pcm try cleaning your egr valve. remove the valve and see if its stuck in the open position if so use a small pick to clean around the spring.

SOURCE: Won't run
There are to many things that can cause the no start. Here is a link that can help you understand the possible problems and links to how to retrieve the DTC codes which is activating your Auto Shutdown relay.
Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted http://www.allpar.com/fix/stall.html

I would check the valves for number 6. If one or both are burned, stuck or out of adjustment it would cause your problem. If a cam lobe for that cylinder is burned or badly worn it could be the culprit.

SOURCE: STARTS and runs well but
I had the same problem but when I changed the Mass Air Flow it was solved. I am suprised that you changed the MAF and you are still getting problems. Please get an OBD check. The problem must be having something to do with electronics and the ODB will definetly be able to read it.
