Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
Hi Paul, I'm glad to help!
Handles that do not work as they should are usually due to a plastic retainer that holds the rod in place or a broken piece where the rod goes on the handle. Pull the panel off the door and take a look, move the handle and watch the rod to see if it moves and if its off on one end or the other. This is usually and easy fix and something you should be able to repair yourself. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Paul.

Sounds like its the bar that goes from the latch in the side of the door up to the handle. It will need to be reattached. If that dosent seem to be the problem you may want to replace handle and all bars in the door with parts from your local junkyard.

Adjusting the handbrake is easy.Between the two front seats where the cup holders are behind there is a cubby hole. This has a bottom which can be easily prised out.You will see the handbrake adjusters which you just need to tighten.
