What do I need to do if I take terminals off battery to reset radio

Very much depends on the make and model, it also depends if it has a built in security code that has to be entered after power failure.

2005 GMC Canyon. No warning, just dies while driving. Power failure light comes on. Radio, etc still work. What should I check?

Grounds first. Battery to engine, battery to body, and engine to body. You'll also have a few harness to engine/transmission grounds to check. Usually it is the main three.

I have a 2004 acura rl and my radio is showing CODE error... What do I do

try disconnecting the battery so the connection to the radio is broken then reconnect and enter code
should work as long as the unit does not lock up if too many failures are registered

Radio stopped working - battery & fuses are fiine

You were right for checking those two first, because they were most likely to be the points of failure. Seeing as you have checked them, i would look to see if the cable coming from your battery is making proper contact and that the wire is intact all the way to the console. This might take some time but it would be the only reason for the lack of power.

I put a new battery in my 2003 sonata and now the radio doesn't work. How do I get it to work?

If the radio lights up. Reprogram radio due to power failure. Should find instructions in owners manual if it is a factory radio. Otherwise look on line for reprogram instructions.

Radio,cd ,code,nissan pulsar plus 1999

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your Nissan service centre andget them to enter this code for you.

2001 dodge stratus radio

I researched and found I needed to reseat or replace the IOD fuse. In my Dakota this is labled "Interior Lights". By pulling this fuse it allowed the radio to reset and everything came back. Hope it works !
