My 2004 suburan 1500 shut down while I'm driving along and when I pull off the road it starts up again and continue to do this

Check fuel filter first may be clogged
Then try adding gas line anti freeze as there nay be water in the tank causing it to stall
These are the cheapest
If not these then check the fuel pump

But before you do this take off all keys off your key ring except the ignition key and try driving with only the ignition key in and no other key hanging off if the ignition key

I have a sneaky feeling your issue is the ignition itself on a recall by GM and the repair is free.

Why is gas pouring out of top of my Holley carburetor on a 305 8 Cylinder? While turning the key over to crank it, it steadily pours gas out of a port hole on the (front top) of carb and starts to smell...

The float may be stuck, or the needle valve that lets gas into the carb may be stuck open. Is there a sight glass to see the fuel level? If not you may have to take the top of carburetor off.

Strong gas smell inside of car

is there a leak in your fuel line, or possibly your fuel filter, if you see raw gas leaking, then it is dangerous for you tio continue to drive it, it only takes one spark to ignite it, however, if the smell is just your car burning rich and the exhaust has holes in it, it will smell up the inside of your car. And yes if your carb. is burning too rich then it needs adjusted. Wasting your fuel, and overloading your engine. I hope some of this was helpfull.

Why can't I get power when driving.

Engine size??? total Mileage??? is it well maintained??? If it was "flooding out", you would smell gas...the newer vehicles seldom "flood out"., and if they do, there must be an ignition problem...not usually the key ignition, but the spark itself...the Daewoo's were never known for their "power", but a few had ***** many miles are on it??? and what level of gas do you use??? low grade??? Medium??? High Octane??? a lot of things, can make a big you air filter clean???

Key no longer works in ignition. I stopped to gas up and the key I normally use would not open the gas cap door. I re-entered the car and the key would not turn the ignition. The key unlocks the steering...

take it to a lock smith to remove the broken part or you could jam the broken part down to where the ignition will turn with the broken key. I advise taking it to a lock smith to remove the broken part

07Saturn Ion having trouble starting & lingering gas smell.

the gas smell is from all the gas into the clylinders when it dont start,,,normal,,,,,,the no start issue is from the electrical ignition switch goes bad when it gets cold out and doesnt let the car start,,you need a new ignition switch like $40 and reprogram it to the car,i would take it to the dealer, asap because right now you are lucky that it does eventually start, one day it will not start at all so get this fixed before you get stuck

When starting in the morning, you have to turn the key and let it sit for about 10 or 15 seconds before you start it or else it will start and then soon die. What would be causing this? 1990 Volvo 240 DL

This sounds like a problem with the fuel pump. Check your fuel pump relay then listen for a whirring noise when you turn the ignition to the on position; without starting it. You have two fuel pumps; the main and the pre-pump. The pre-pump, which is in the gas tank itself, can be checked by taking the gas cap off the gas tank (with the ignition key on) and listening for a faint whirring noise. If the "whirring" noise is delayed you need to troubleshoot these pumps and see which one is failing.

Car won't start

Disconnect the air filter tube from the throttle body. have someone step on the gas pedal or simply open the throttle valve then try to check if you smell gas inside the intake manifold. if you do smell gas, then you have an ignition problem. check if the spark plugs are getting sparks.. a general mechanic can easily isolate the problem. Have it checked.
