SOURCE: I need to replace inner and outer tie rods and Idler arms. Is there a diagram?

The inner and outer tie rods are pretty self explanatory remove the nut from the knuckle. Whack the knuckle a couple times where the tie rod goes through and the tie rod will pop out. The inner will releas the same way. Get the sleeve whe you get the inner and outer tie rod. It will make life a lot easier. Assemble the new parts to the approximate same length as the parts you removed and install. The idler arm will be bolted to the frame and then have a ball and socket that will be removed in the same manner as the tie rod end. The pitman arm will require a puller to seperate it from the gear box. Sometimes you have to heat up the end that attaches to the gear box to get them to pop. Sometimes the gear box needs to be removed in order to get the puller on the pitman arm. Lower and upper ball joints are also very common on these. If they have not been done I would have them checked as well.

Need belt diagram for 96 3800 buick riviea

The 1996 Buick Riviera SC has two belts. An inner and an outer belt. The outer belt is for the supercharger and the inner belt is the drive accessory belt. Rotate the tensioner pulley (idler) and remove the outer belt first. The do the same to remove the inner belt. Check all make pulleys and make sure they are free of any debris or oil.

Route the belt according to the diagram above leaving the tensioner pulley for last and maintaining tension on the belt with your hand. Rotate the tensioner pulley enough to slip the belt on. Inspect your belt and make sure it on correctly before you start to put the outer belt on. Repeat these steps for the outer belt.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

My back window is off track. How do I get access to the motor

remove the inner door panel and the plastic sheet inside of that and you will see the window motor and track its probably the track is either out of adjustment or the regulator has gone bad also check the plastic guides that hold the window in the track on both sides

Renault scenic drivers electric window motor runs

The track guide that operates the window from the motor is damaged or has jumped track. Remove the inner door panel and operate the window and see which has happened. If it has jumped track check for missing or damaged guide retainers if it is damaged or broken replace it. Normally runs about $15 to $20 for the part. Now if the drive guide is not damaged and it is still not working the gear that drives it is damaged and you will need to replace the motor as this is pressed on and not user replaceable. Good Luck

Passanger window wont roll all the way up and makes noise and slips from it's position.

Window is misaligned/off track. Temporary solution; With door open, have 2nd person operate window while you press on glass from both sides. Guide window to full up position. Complete repair requires removal of inner trim panel (see my solution for trim panel removal). With panel off operate window (2nd person if needed). Observe window tracking movement. Look for broken loose parts inside door. If needed, observe correct operation of functioning door. Usually (if no parts damaged) glass needs to be loosened when fully up. Then correctly aligned in track. Then re-tightened.

2003 explorer front passenger window regulator/motor replcement

You will first need to remove the door panel on the inside. Then you will need to remove the window glass from the track it rests in. Then you need to undo all the screws that attach the regulator inside the door. At the top of the door where the glass slides up and down remove the inner and outer window track guides. Then very carefully maneuver the regulator up and out the top of the door. Reverse the procedure to replace. It sounds easy, but you need to almost be double jointed to do this. So, have great patience while doing this task. Good luck.

the window is not staying in the track . at the bottom of the glass there may be some guides that keep it in the track that may be broken. You can call the dealer and ask the parts person to look and see in his/her computer if there are window guides that keep the window in the track that you can purchase and replace them. they can show you the diagram so you can see where they go in place. you may have to glue them on to keep them in place better. alot of times this is the problem. other times, the track is worn and bent, and will need to be replaced to correct the problem.
