hey-I have has this before different car but same - idle control valve is failing - computer at shop will pick this up on diagnostic

SOURCE: 1991 ford probe
duck tape on the air intake. I just fixed mine. There is a crack on the intake that lets too much air in when you put it in drive that makes the car stall. Try it it works.

Its your Idle speed valve. PCS (part supplier) quoted me £45 + vat for the part. Easy fit but I paid a mate £10 to do it for me

This is issue with the ICA valve. Get it cleaned that should solve the problem, if not replace it.
