Question about 2005 Dodge Neon
Check the oil make sure its full. change the oil with recommended grade oil and the filter. if this doesn't fix the issue have the oil pressure checked. neon are known to have bearing issues that cause low oil pressure and a tapping noise because the lifters are not getting enough oil. some will have the oil light flicker when engine is idle in gear. another cause for a tapping would be the belt tentioner
