SOURCE: just replced suspension compressor in 2002 s500 mercedes was nois

TYPICALLY this could be because the air bags are leaking and caused your compressor to overwork itself to death. The airbags are not designed to withstand temperatures below 40 degrees and above 94 degrees. Can you believe that!?!? Dry rot starts forming on the inside fold of the bag making it very difficult to detect with the soapy water test. Anyways.. i went through all these problems and several hundred dollars before I finally decided to convert to a passive coil spring system. I got it from with a lifetime warranty. I have been riding on them for about 8 months now and am very pleased so far! I actually now PREFER the coil spring ride to the air ride and was surprised at just how comfortable the ride was. Hopefully you won't have to go through as much money and heartache as I did before I went for a more permanent solution. By the way, my shop only charged me an hour per wheel to install the kit so it was pretty cheap on labor too!!!!

2001 mercedes s500 air ride suspension problems compressor, just replace compressor the old one stopped. Now the new one won'y go off. what should I do to get it to go off the correct way?

Usually when they stop working it is because they have burned out from running too much due to a leak. Sometimes the leak is on the pump itself at the older T line fitting on the side. If it is the new one with the updated line and it is still running, chances are there is a leak somewhere and that is why it continues to run. It could also be the relay. Usually when I replace the pump, I replace the relay as well. Try a new relay, if it continues after that, you will need to have it properly diagnosed by someone familiar with the airmatic system.

Mercedes s430 2000 i constantly get message airmatic go to workshop , front right suspension seems to be faulty , can it be fixed or does it need to be changed ?

It will have to be tested at a dealership. It is most likely the strut assembly, but occasionally the air pumps go bad.

I have the car to low error message on the display the bags are bottomed out and wont raise up. its on a e 500 2003

The suspension has a leak somewhere and/or the airmatic compressor has stopped working properly. You need either the Mercedes star diagnosis system (SDS) in order to access the suspension control module to tell it to raise the vehilce or you can try to trick it by jacking up the car so it thinks it's sitting at the correct ride height. But as long as the display reads a warning it won''t allow the airmatic compressor to run.
