Has brakes been bled? Properly? Air in system will let only two brakes work either left front and right rear or vise versa.

Abs motor pack

You have valves in the abs block altho the motor might be working it could the valve is not working is the load sensing vavle working on the rear axle. Check the master cylinder is pumping fluid to the pump then check if fluid is coming from the from abs pump when brake peddle is applied. Ps don't forget you might have to bleed brakes once the pipes have been slackened

I was struggling to go up hill in extreme snow storm. The Abs light came on in my Dodge Caravan. 2002 yr.

On the bad ABS system we have on our cars, sometimes the brake fluid pump gets stuck. On top of the transmission is a big rectangular block that is connected to the master cylinder by two big hoses. If the pump gets stuck you can put a metal pipe up against it and tap on the other end of the pipe with a hammer. If you do this with the car running you can sometimes get the ABS pump to fire up again and after a couple of stops the ABS light will go out. You will know if the pump stops working because the brake pedal will get hard and you will not be able to stop easily with both feet on the pedal. When my last pump died, I took off the old one (it is held on by one bolt), unhooked the two hoses from the master cylinder, bolted in a used one from the salvage yard that cost $20, and bled the brake system following the instructions printed on the brake fluid reservoir.

The left rear and right front are not getting any fluid and when i went to bleed the lines no air or anything came out and those brakes dont work at all

find your proportioning valve right under the master cylinder on most cars. Tap on it with a hammer while someone else is pumping the brakes hard. Sometimes they get stuck. Then try to bleed them again.

Can't get brake fluid from abs into lines after installing new brake line on a 2000 chevy silverado

I read this same problem all the time, the reason u can't bleed the lines is that a special tool is required that pluge into the ABS and holds the hydraulic valves in the ABS control open for bleeding, there is no way around this.

ABS light is on. Spongy pedal. ABS pump makes

if the abs pump is making noise you either have an air pocket in it or a bad pump, so this is what you need to do have the car pluged in to a modis and have them run a bleeder program, this will make the pump bleed the air from the system, the problem with doing some of this maintanance at home is sometimes you need specialty tools to do the job right this requires a $8,000.00 computer to make sure the air is purged from the system. call a shop and ask them what they will charge to do this. my shop where i work would charge around $25.00 to run this with the modis...
good luck

Brake fluid leaking from ABS distribution block

You have to replace the master cylinder because the fluid that leaks from it is getting into the brake booster and compromising the seals. So you can probably get away with the booster and cylinder. Unless the ABS unit is a part of the either of the affected parts, or isn't working properly, you can leave it alone. ---------------------
A fluid-distribution system includes a plurality of fluid-distribution nodes with three-way ports attached to bleed/flush lines and alternate ports attached to vacuum lines. A first pump is used to draw new brake fluid from a new fluid container, push it through the manifold and ports, and through the bleed/flush lines. Fluid flow through the ports is selectively controlled by a computing device. In this manner, a vehicle's brake system including individual brake lines and ABS systems, may be flushed in a prescribed sequence. The vacuum lines are connected to a second pump via alternate ports of the sequential control valve manifold and may be used evacuated air and contaminated brake fluid from the vehicle's bleeder valves or master cylinder. Additionally, the bleed/flush lines may be connected to the alternate ports during priming or purging of the system. This also facilitates storage of the bleed lines as it prevents brake fluid from spilling and prevents air from entering the system. thanks.

Abs on my 2000 silverado not working

Make sure you bled the brakes so no air is in the brake lines. Refill with brake fluid.Have someone pump the brakes until they get hard at turn the bleeding nut behind the wheels at the caliper.Do this until the brakes are good and you can stop fairly easy. If the ABS light is on. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the engine off. Leave it for a minute or 2 and then reconnect it back. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Brake fluid transfer from Master pump to ABS pump

hi from uk if you are saying that the brake master cylinder reservoir fluid is falling in level? and that there is signes that fluid is leaking from the ABS hydraulic master cylinder ie fluid is leaking from the arpeture where the electrics wiring loom enters then there is probably one of the piston/valve seals leaking within abs assy ? or is leak from somewhere else? not had this problem before with fluid passing from abs assy resulting in reservoir losing fluid in this way?
