SOURCE: Have a Lexus 1995 sc400.

Your amplifier located in the right rear trunk area wheel well has IC's transistors etc. that overheat from high volume as well age. I had mine repaired for about a 150.00 in Oklahoma city. Look on ebay for used might be best way to go..

SOURCE: Front door speakers

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Front door speaker blown stereo shop said the speaker would have to be purchased at lexus

You dont have to get them from LEXUS but in order to keep the sound at the same balance and quality, you should do that unless you want to replace all the speakers with other models.

2004 Avalanche/Radio speakers blown, all of them. The rear speaker was the last one working, then a pop in the front left of the dash, and the speaker is dead. What is going on?

either you are running an aftermarket stereo with too much power for the OEM speakers, or your OEM radio has malfunctioned and there is stray voltage getting to the speakers. in the prior case you need to upgrade your speakers, in the latter case you need to look around and find a replacement used working OEM radio. used OEM radios can be had on eBay, at junkyards, at stereo install shops, and by looking around on craagslist, to name a few.

look on youtube.com for videos of folks pulling a dashboard, console, stereo, or speaker replacement on your vehicle. Or you can buy a repair manual which can be had on CD for about 5 bucks on eBay.

PANEL/CLUSTER LIGHTS HAS GONE OUT AFTER REPLACING RADIO. WHAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THIS PROBLEM AND HOW CAN I SOLVE?

radio may have been wired improperly or fuse may have blown. First check fuses. Below is the color scheme for your radio wiring. The dimmer wire is White with a green stripe. This wire should be connected to the orange wire of your aftermarket stereo. If you have an unusual stereo, leave the factory wire unhooked (and insulated) until you can verify which wire on your stereo is for the light. Let me knoiw if you have questions.

Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Blue/Yellow
Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Gray
Radio Ground Wire: Brown
Radio Illumination Wire: Dark Green
Dimmer Wire: White/Green
Antenna Trigger Wire: None
Front Speaker Size: 6 1/2?
Front Speaker Location: Doors
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Pink
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Purple
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Blue
Rear Speaker Size: 6? x 9?
Rear Speaker Location: Rear Deck
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Black
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): White

My stereo doesn't work anymore. The volume is very low, can barely hear it... I tried an aftermarket too, but still nothing... anyone??? plsss. email me at badelitab@yahoo.com thanks much

Sounds like you might have blown a speaker. These days they are often 3 in one assemblies and you're probablyjust hearing the tweeter while the bass and midrange are gone.

The sure way is too use am ohmmeter and look for between 2 and 8 ohms.

This is why it pays to buy good warranted speakers for 5 years like some companies offer. You pay more up front but in the long run its usually worth it. It's also why most speakers are only 30 to 90 day warranties -- They're one of the most blown up things in the consumer industry.

I went to college for electronics, BTW.

I have low volume on my stereo in a Lexus RX300, 1999 all fuses are good someone told me it might be something to do with the alarm system.

Negative...it's a grounded speaker somewhere in the car...When I say "grounded" I mean it's blown and shorted out...Unfortunately, the best way to replace the bad speaker is to get down to your local car stereo installation shop and have them diagnose the problem ($50) Then, buy TWO speakers...I recommend "Memphis" speakers. (cheap and good).
Good Luck

Stereo seems low, could the stereo or speakers be blown?

Speaker(s) not a home repair...Remember this, always buy speakers in pairs. Go to a local car stereo shop and have it diagnosed $30-50. I guarantee it's NOT the radio.
Good Luck
replace with "Memphis" aftermarket speakers if you can
