Moisture in the car causes this. Maybe entirely normal.

A/T tranny"drive"
are the brakes iced over.?? i can't know this. only you.

if not, ice, then tranny is sick
get help

do you have a dash tachometer? RPM?
this instrument tells you what is wrong,
1: Tacho RPM buzzes high bad tranny.
2: tacho rpm sticks at say 2000rpm not running free with right foot action that means the breaks are locked up with ice or hand brake is ON.

Key off and out, oil, park brake and battery lights still on.

It sounds like something is "back feeding" your ignition circuit. In other word there is a source of voltage feed the ignition circuit even with the key off. It could be the ignition switch, but I don't think it's from any road debris. None of that wiring runs under the car. If im working on a vehicle for which I don't have a wiring diagram, I like to narrow these things down by disconnecting electrical components one at a time until the fault goes away. You can pull fuses one at a time, I would start by disconnecting the large gauge wire at the back of the alternator. It is always hot so be careful, if that cures it you need a new alternator. The plug at the ignition switch is pretty hard to get to, but if you were to un plug it and the problem goes away...you get the picture.

Hope this helps, best of luck to you ;)

Intermittent dash board problems

sounds like you have a grounding issue possibly a main grounding location. inconsistant grounding of the vehicles control module will cause erratic behaviours. check under the hood for ground locations containing multiple grounds at 1 bolt location.if different "experts" have attempted repair and failed chances are they are all looking in the wrong place.dash{interior of vehicle}..actual cause.{egine compartment or under side of vehicle..ie...ground locations.}good luck and safe motoring:>

Possible ice shows up on dash light, what do I do?

This is normal, all it is saying is that with the outside temp.there may be ice on the roads. this is just a warning message letting you know it may be slippery on the roads. you will see this message go away when the outside temp rises above freezing. hope this is helpful, good day

Audi estate rear wiper not working

is the window snow or ice covered? if so, you'll need to scrape the snow or ice off of it. the wiper blade may only have frozen to the glass. after windows clear, try picking up wiper away from the glass and then turn it on. use your rear defroster to keep this from ocurring again. if none of this works, check for blown fuse under the dash. if this works, please accept my soltion and thank you for choosing fixya.com
