A vibrating engine is often a simple case of a misfire or crossfire. Often a simple tune-up will solve the issue. If the engine is misfiring bad enough, it will set the Engine light. If it is really bad, the Engine light will blink indicating that the car is in open-loop (limp) mode. Have the vehicle computer scanned to determine the cause of the failure and repair.

You know that you have a boost sensor I know you said MAF sensor, but some make and engine size has a boost sensor when this sensor goes you lack power as you described. so make sure this sensor vacuum hose is hooked up it also acts as a MAP sensor. give fuel when you accelerate

Not a specfic code, but it means the problem is more serious and needs to be repaired now. The flash was probably from the engine misfire. Scan for codes and repair it before further, more costly damage occurs.

Hi my twin turbo ej20 is having boost issues,for some reason it only boosts 6psi,occasionally it might hit 10 psi and sometimes theres no boost at all


Hello,

I would definitely check for vacuum leaks in all your boost control valve vacuum reference lines. I would also check the operation of your boost control valve which is located just ahead of the strut tower on the drivers side of a right hand drive car and the passengers side of a left hand drive car. And always remembering the basics... don't forget to check the condition of the air filter... sorry I had to say it. Also make sure your plugs, wires, and fuel filter are not overdue to be changed, just because these items are in direct relation to engine power. If your misfiring due to an ignition and/or fuel issue you will lose rpm, which consequently means you will lose boost. I hope this info helps!!

Subaru impreza turbo intercooler drives like normal 2l but has no boost?


I would start looking at your boost control valve and vacuum lines going to your turbos waste gate, as well as the recirc/bypass valve. Usually when cars don't boost they have either stuck open waste gates or recirc valves. Or something is blocking the boost control valve from releasing the waste gate. Also make sure that all your intake hose clamps are tight so they are not releasing boost prematurely.

you don`t if say if you know but these codes mean misfire on cylinder 1 and cylinder 2.you also don`t say if you tried anything to fix.check out plugs they may need changing,it could be bad ignition wires or dirty injectors,or even dirty valves(not closing completly)causing misfire.you could have low compression on these two cylinders also.

first is up you octane with an adative or tank of has. the next would be to inspect your rotor cap for crac ks/ scale build up. if showing a lot of build up on the contacts replace cap and rotor button. Those ate the easiest and cheapest improvements. the octane boost reduces the misfire due to detonation

Check engine light flashes sometimes and runs rough


A flashing check engine light is a critical indicator. That usually means that something went wrong that will damage the emission control system... and that is usually an ignition issue. First off, the OEM plug your car calls for is an NGK irridium... NOT BOSCH and not anything with more than 1 prong. Those NGKs are like 2 bucks and they are the proper plug. Make sure you have these plugs and make sure they are gapped to .028. Next, my suggestion is put all the new stuff on again. Drive it to autozone and have them delete all the codes. Drive it around until the check engine light comes on again, then immediately go back and read the codes. The ECU is smart enough to know which cylinder is misfiring. On these cars, I think they have three banks of two... meaning one "coil" inside the coil pack operates two of the cylinders. So if you get multiple misfires, it's the coil. If you get one misfire it's probably an individual plug wire or plug. Good luck.
