Shell has had issues with contaminated fuel in the past cant recall what it was but it actually damaged the fuel pump. I hope thats not the issue here can get costly in some cases fuel pumps on GM are a whole assembly. DOes the gas gauge still read properly? This was a big tell with the contamination last time. Gauge would read empty even when full.

Make sure that the negative and positive leads to your battery are not switched. If that doesn't work you might need a new computer.

That car may run forever with check egine light on, but you can visit most any auto parts store to get code read for free.
Often the light refers to oxygen sensor.. Maybe just need plugs or wires etc. Go to Auto Zone ask to check code for free.

speed sensor runs all three gages. Sounds like trans might have lose or missing bolts. Get it checked out.

I would really have that exhaust checked again, as well as have mechanic put fuel pressure gauge on & drive it up to that speed and see what happens fuel pressure wise. With exhaust, it's not only cat converter that could be causing reduced flow.

1997 Honda Civic dies while driving but will restart

It sounds like your car needs a good solid tune up. It sounds like the injectors are fighting to get fuel so the slower you go the chances of you stalling is even greater. And the faster you go the fuel system is just getting just enough fuel that the car needs to keep running.....I hate to say this but it sounds like you need a tune up.

89 tercel auto trans / inmovable

Difficult to speculate without seeing it in person, but, check the differential fluid level. The way you are describing this problem seems to me that the diff section locked up & failed. If so, you need a transmission. Please understand that I am in no way saying go out buy a new trans, but I have observed this previously. Best way to check: Get under it, remove the diff plug & drain the oil into a big pan. If metal particles come out with the oil, then, my original hypothesis is correct.
No oil comes out? You def need a trans, then.
Oil clean? Check the drive axles.
Please check the fluid & repost what you see....
Thanks. Hope this helps.
