The fuse box is located on the passenger side panel of the dash . you have to open the passanger door to get at it.

The other fuse boxes are under the hood, on each side under a diagonal support arm that has to be removed to get at the fuses & relays

Look on the drivers side when you open the door, there may be a panel on the side of the dash. If not in the hood may be a small panel. also underneath the drivers side dashboard, glovebox, pass. side of the dashboard, or even the trunk. I have seen newer pontiacs had a box underneath the rear seat. hope it helps

HOW TO REMOVE 4T60E TRANSMISSION FROM A 96 Z34 MONTE CARLO?

You don't have to pull it to replace the TCC. Remove the pan and you can access the TCC solenoid. 40b12bb6-08f8-4f1c-b959-9bfe6f7b08fb.gif

96 monte Carlo has good batt. but will not crank, no clicking, no noises at all

Probably going to be your ignition. Its the litytle box under your steering column with all the wires running to it. Check the fuses 1st to rule out the REAL easy fix but I'd put my $ on the ignition. Hope I could help. Good luck

I have a problem with my pcm on a 96 monte carlo. every three or four days the control module fails to power up and the car wont start for a couple of days. is it a power problem or a module problem? what...

There was a problem in the 96 luminas with the Ignition relay in the under hood fuse box.
I would try trading the Ignition relay with a matching relay in the fuse box and see if the problem goes away, make sure you mark the old ignition relay so you can find it later. If the problem stops, purchase a new relay and replace the old one.
Below is a schematic of your under hood fuse block.
Good luck, let me know.

96 Monte Carlo Fuse

look under the hood. take the top of the fuse box and look at the sticker on the inside of the top. It should tell you unless the sticker ore off. Otherwise look in a Chilton's manual at your local library.
