Sounds like a clogged fuel filter. What are you working on? What have you looked at so far? What tests have you run? How is the maintenance on this truck? The more specific the information the better. I will do my best to help. Good luck.

SOURCE: truck starts but then stalls in 30 seconds

It may be the ignition module. For example, my FORD F250 has a module on the distributor. Inside that is two seperate circuits, starting and running. The first will tell the computer to fire the fuel injectors for starting and then after that the running circuit tells it to fire the injectors for the running of the engine. I think it fires rich for startup and lean for running. These are cheap from Romania online so you don't have to pay rediculous prices like $70 or something. Also, you can use artist style Pure Titanium Dioxide White in Walnut Oil instead of expensive Silicone Compounds to mount them on the distributor if it is a FORD. Both will transfer heat but eventually the module will burn out one of the circuits in about 9 to 11 years of running. Mine burnt out the start circuit but I could still prime the 5.8 L engine with a sunlight squirt bottle and it fired right up and went on to the start circuit OK.

Running great but shut down mid ride. Acted Like the kill switch was hit. Checked the switch it was fine. Started right back up. Ran for another minute then shut down again. Plugs have spark, fuel...

My guess is that this is not a car or truck, but rather a 4 wheeler. It may have a low oil shutoff, or bad coil that fails as it gets hot, but hen cools a bit and seems fine. Check for spark immediately as it fails.

1994 Mazda PU Truck sometimes won't start if shutoff for 5-10 minutes.. Several tries later, it will start. spark seems ok, it gets enough fuel for a second, but then poops out. fuel pump shuto

Well there is no shutoff relay, but there is a fuel pump relay that powers the pump.
I would check it first. The computer grounds the relay for 3 seconds when you crank the engine to boost fuel pressure. Once the engine starts the pump is powered only if you have oil pressure.

2000 GMC Yukon Denali will start And then shutoff immediately. Why?

My guess would be something electrical that is not working due to the temp. Like a relay.
A relay could loose magnetic power for a few tries then start working.
Or the engine temp sensor could be out of calib and telling the computer the temp is 90 degrees when it is only 50.
You could use a scanner to read the sensors and look for something not right.
Without knowing what is missing in the equation its going to be tough to diagnose it. You really need to know if you are loosing voltage to the coil or the injectors or if the fuel mixture is too lean, etc.

Turned of car, will not start it turns over, but doesn't seem to be getting any fuel

Try A SMALL SHOT Of Starting Fluid Sprayed into the Snorkel
Intake @ Air filter. If it Starts and Does NOT Run After Burning Starting Fluid the Fuel Pump Has Failed. (My Personal Hunch) is (FUEL PUMP FAILURE) BE SURE TO ELIMINATE THE INERCIA SWITCH< it is a fuel shut off switch >>>>> WARNING: Do not reset the inertia switch button if you see or smell fuel.

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Check for leaking fuel in the engine compartment, fuel lines and fuel tank.
  3. If no fuel is apparent, reset the inertia fuel shutoff switch by pushing the reset button on top of switch.
  4. Turn ignition switch to START for a few seconds, then to OFF.
  5. Again, check for leaking fuel.
LOCATION

  1. Open luggage compartment door.
  2. Remove two screws retaining inertia fuel shutoff switch.
  3. Disconnect wiring harness connector from inertia fuel shutoff switch and remove inertia fuel shutoff switch.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure.

My 2000 Jimmy won't start, I can hear the fuel pump running and then shutting off before I attempt to start the engine. I also hear it running while I attemp to start the engine. The engine won't start...

The pump is working normally the reason it stops before you start the engine is it has built up enough preasure and cuts out. When you turn over the engine it starts up again as the preasure goes down when the carburator open's. The pump only helps the fuel from the tank. It seem's like dirt in your carburator. The reason it wont start after 3 minutes is the excess petrol in the carburator has evaporated hence need to pour more in. Check all pipes filters and carburator for dirt.

Losing power to fuel shutoff relay

The power for the shutoff relay actually comes from a secondary winding on the ignition coil itself. Why the enging would shut the fuel pump off is that as the engine ran for a while the coil gets warm and then breaks down or opens up the circuit for the fuel shutoff relay. Fixed by replacing $85.00 coil.
