Question about Lexus LX 470
We have LX470 year 2000 & out of the blue the ESC light comes on on a right hand curve. And then on occasion the alarm singles and almost at same time brakes are applied. Very scary when in traffic. No one seems to know the cause. any else experience this and what we should look at.
Run the fault codes to check for sensor and wiring faults. The ABS and the stability system use the same sensors at the wheels so it could be an air gap problem at a sensor or a loose/ broken wire /connection. Check wheel bearings for condition and adjustment as that will affect the air gap on the front wheels ( especially on turns when the hub is allowed to move out of alignment from the side load of the turn)

SOURCE: dcs and abs light staying on
car is sensing a problem with the stability control system (DSC) or the antilock brake system (ABS). usually an ABS problem will turn off the DSC, so DSC may be ok, just ABS needs a look at.
since its an '08 model, it should still be covered by the BMW warranty provided you live in the USA. take it in and have them fix it. not safe driving with both systems deactivated.

I have. Check all connections in the main computer connection box. The plugs that I am referring to are located in the air box in the L/H front corner under the hood (Driver's side). Also make sure that all wires are clean of oil and of the engine on the back side of the engine. My mechanic resecured all connections, cleaned the wires and re-routed them to allow clearance to the engine and the problem has not returned.
