How to fix oil leak 2000 camry?

get it totally clean
drive 5 miles
look for leak
the key is to find WHAT is leaking.?

can be many things,
bad clogged PCV valve causing all things to leak or worse.
gaskets
seals
0-rings.
casing flaws that cause leaks (aluminum porosity issues)

until WHAT leaks is found
there will be NO costs, quotes, ever.
if not handy then just get it fixed, what choices are there?
not handy.?
sell it, ignore it. or?

no sane man quotes unknown repairs.
unless said man wants to eat losses. big time.

handy?
use IR dye in the oil with lamp IR .
then run car and see the dye marks as it leaks.
now you know both ways. (old and new)
leak on.

You got a false signal for some unknown reason, Not to worry, If there is a pressure problem the light will either stay on or blink on and off.

Less than 1000 miles on new motor ,new oil pump, pressure drops for no apparent reason.have done 2 oil & filter changes,so sludge is ruled out. im thinking oil sending unit

Yes, faulty sending unit or gauge itself could be the problem. The oil sump pickup could also be loose...causing a temporary loss of oil psi when you corner and brake.
With oil pressure you don't want to take chances....i would connect a manual gauge and monitor, just to be safe...it could save your new engine from bearing failure.

Truck runs great @ 168K miles. No engine performance or power loss. But recently started leaking oil slowly from unknown location. Drips accumulate and appear below & back of engine by transmission...

Their is a front and rear oil seal on the oil pan itself..........If it is leaking by the bell housing then you will have to drop the oil pan and replace the rear oil seal and i would do the front one on the pan as well..........Hope this helps.

I am experiencing slightly higher than normal oil pressure as shown on the dashboard gage. No power loss, no water loss, no increase in heat etc etc. Recently fitted a free flow exaust to this 4 L six...

if you are running 5w-30 (recommended) you can go to 5w-20, there is a TSB out that recommends this on early 2000 Jeeps. If it has not been changed lately, it may just be ;'slugged', that is short trips and condensation can affect the viscosity of oil. also the brand of oil filter can be the reason for this, so to be safe do a oil/filter change, use full synthetic and a good oil filter like Purolator Pure One, Wix, K + N, or Bosh, all have anti-drainback valves.

I put on my new oil pump for my chevy silverado which has a 4.8 engine .and it still doesnt keep the presure

The engine may be shot. Putting in a oil pump to fix a oil pressure loss never works. You must first find out why its low. Bearing clearances. history, miles, ect.

If your engine is free to move around, your engine may be losing rotational force to engine twist. Technically, when there is a sudden loss of rotational power in the engine rotating assembly, this could cause the oil pump to stop rotating for a split second. however, there are many more reasons that you need to get the mont replaced anyway.

Breather hose covered in black oil what can caurse this breather was replaced 5 months ago now oil hose soaked in oil is it serious its a landy 1994 disco

Any oil leak should be attended to ASAP for obvious reasons... could be a split hose or excessive crank case pressure. If the oil loss is minimal then no need to panic but I would get it looked at by a Land Rover speciallist.

Loss of HP

The gas filter should be changed at 30,000 miles, the AC pulls about 5-10 horsepower from the engine when on, you will feel this, the Kia has a small engine, if you are talking about a more serious drag then you may have the system overcharged or the compressor is starting to fail.
