I have 2004 Murano with a code p1778 how could I go about to fix. Thank u.

code p 1778 refers to CVT step motor--mechanical malfunction===causes ---step motor
the CVT is a constant velocity transmission that has no gear ratios as such but uses a special belt between two pulleys that change flange widths in unison so that as the road speed increases one pulley gets smaller and the other larger
the step motor controls the pulley adjustment
Take it to a service dealer or an accredited specialist transmission shop with experience on that transmission

I would replace the step motor as it has a mechanical fault and probable will be unrepairable.

I have a 1998 vw beetle that stays in limp mode and will not shift, codes getting are 00258,00260,00262,00264,00266,00270,00281 and 00652 , Control module has been changed . Do you have any ideas?

I HAVE FOUND THE FOLLOWING INFO, U MAY HAVE ONE OR BOTH OF THE PROBLEMS BELOW, THERE IS NO SPECIFIC FIX, THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS TO THE TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE OR THE THE SOLENOID WIRING INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION IS SHORTED, AT THIS POINT YOU REALLY NEED THIS HOOKED UP TO A FACTORY BREAKOUT BOX TO "PIN OUT" EACH WIRE IN THE HARNESS, IF THE HARNESS IS SHORTED OR DAMAGED U MAY RUIN THE NEW CONTROL MODULE, I SUGGEST U GET THE DEALER INVOLVED IN THIS, WITH THIS MANY CODES IT IS REALLY HARD TO PIN DOWN A USABLE ANSWER FOR THE REPAIR PROCEDURE.

2002 jetta 1.8 t, codep1778

it means solenoid ev7 electrical malfunction and you probably have faults in the ABS control module as well. unless you have a vag-comm you cant scan them in the ABS solenoid ev7 is a solenoid in the ABS block under the hood and there is no communication from the ABS control module and to the ECM
