Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I HAVE A 2000 DODGE STRATUS AND ITS STARTS FINE JUST WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE IT STARTS JERKING AND JUST SHUTS OFF WHAT COULD BE WORNG WITH IT

One possibility is that the torque converter lock is stuck engaged. Try shifting to 1st gear as this should kick off the torque converter lock.

My stick shift is stuck . its a 2002 and I cant get it in 1st gear ?

Hi there,

There's a problem with the transmission. Have an in house mechanic check for it. I wouldnt recommend you doing it since you'll need to drop the transmission cage and in most cases, find the stuck mechanism physically.

Hope this helps,

2002 TD5 is sluggish in all gears espeacially 1st gear, it is an auto 2.5

Could be MAFS out of range - check & replace if needed.

Or maybe the EGR valve is stuck open, sometimes you can clean them out but most of the time a new one is required.

Both common on the TD5
