Question about 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche

1 Answer

I have a 2006 Chevy Avalanche. When I turn on the heated seats, they flicker off and I hear a click under the seats. When I move the seats or adjust the lumbar support, then turn them on, they stay on for about 5 seconds, then turn off. On occassion, the elements will come on and stay on for awhile, heating up the seat, before turning off. What is most likely the corrective action for this?

Avalanche airbag

Without a scanner u can disconnect the batt for 15 minutes but sounds like you forgot to hook up a plug. Some vehicles have an airbag plug under the seat and are usually yellow. Make sure all plugs are right or pins didn't bend or push out of the back of the plug

My 04 navigator left power seat wont move any direction and pedal adjust wont move...there is a clicking sound coming from a black box under seat but no function

it does not appear that the driver seat or adjustable pedal share anything in common

furthermore, the sound you hear clicking may be the actual seat motor trying to work, but lets do a quick test

try to move the seat up/down, forward/back and any combination. If while holding the button in said position and you consistently hear the clicking sound that follow the sound and touch the motor under your seat. If you feel the "clicking" then your seat motor is bound or siezed and will need repair.

if instead you just hear one click then you might be experiencing a relay problem

As for the pedal adjustment... have you checked fuse #109 (30A) @ the CJB (Central Junction Box) behind the right kick panel?

Power seat in chevy 03 avalance not working

Check the fuse, make sure it isn't damaged/blown. Check the connectors that go to the seat to make sure that it has power going to it. If you hear noise when trying to move the seat it has power, and is probably a bad seat motor and will have to be replaced.
