Typically speaking, IAT sensors are on the back side of the intake airbox.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 hyunda tiburon 4cyl..Need to locate intake air sens

Hi
It is the sensor on the middle of air inlket manifold. but there is two sensor built to one. as I remember it was 6 or 8 wires connected. I have the rigin drawing of you like I can send you it by mail. but I recomand you not to connect this chip. I have tried severral types and the difference is very little and chance for distroying cabelsensor and get check engine light comeing all the time. If you need a chip you could try the Volo Performance chip VP 12 or you must talk with Seoulfast racing about changeing or update the ECU on your car.

Good Luck

Where is bank 1 02 sensor located on 2003 Toyota matrix

Hello, there are two sensors, one is the air/fuel ratio sensor which is in the pipe between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter and the oxygen sensor which behind the cat converter in the exhaust pipe, The most common fault is the front sensor but it depends on what the diagnostic code number is to be more specific.

check to make sure the intake temperature sensor, located in the intake tube near the mass air sensor, is connected and works, check with an ohm meter and see if it ohms out or if its an open circuit. if its open replace it. also check any wires and connectors for wear/corrosion.

if your talking about the over head temp reading that is an entirely different system.the temps you show at 178,169,173 are all below what they should be,it should have a 195 degree thermostat in that engine, where did you get those temps,if you got them from the dash you should change the temperature sending unit.

Sounds like your mass air flow sensor....or your intake air temperature sensor. Have the vehicle DTC codes checked....Youo may not have a check engine light but a fault code could be stored in the ECM computer. Most auto parts stores will check it for free.

You can't beat free!!!

My car did the same thing with no check engine light and I changed the intake air temp sensor and it fix the problem right away.

Iat sensor

Yes and No , It does, however it is integrated into the Mass Airflow Sensor . So its not per say a separate component that you can replace without replacing the MAF unit .Excuse me , Mitsubishi wants to call it the "Volume Air Flow Sensor" , not Mas Airflow Sensor , as we know it . . I stand corrected .
