SOURCE: para un mitsubishi endevor 2005,la salida del agua
The water is clear condensate water from the air conditioner evaporator
drain. You'll notice that the water doesn't contain any antifreeze or
odor. Keep in mind that running with the ventilation control selector
in the defrost position also runs the air conditioner. The foam seal
around the drain tube and the fire wall has deteriorated allowing water
that is blown back against the fire wall around the drain tube to enter
the passenger area of the vehicle. You can see the hard plastic drain
tube protruding low on the engine side of the fire wall. It's about an
inch or so long and a little better than a half inch in diameter. The
fix is easy and permanent. Cut a 2.5' patch from some rubber gasket
material, it can be round or square doesn't matter. Cut a round hole in
the center of the patch that is slightly smaller than the tube. Slather
one side of the patch with marine sealant and slide itover the tube
with the sealant side tward the fire wall pressing the patch against
the firewall. Now use a wet dry vac to extract as much of the water
from the passenger foot well as possible an wait about a week or so for
the carpet and padding to dry.
