SOURCE: timing mark's on isuzu trooper 3.0 td

The cam pulley notch goes in line with the mark on the front cam bearing cap and the crankshaft pulley goes at 12 o'clock - its got a tiny mark on the back lip that lines up with the mark on the cover .

Did you take the cams off in one lump or split them ? if you did come back on here for how to time them up .

Why does my engine go dead when I turn my ac on in my 2001 Isuzu rodeo?

stalls, is the word.
here they all, each takes, simple tests.
  1. battery weak.,and dischaged for 3 possible reasons, 12.6v id good 13.3-15v good running. not less.
  2. A/C compressor seized.
  3. ISC/IAC bad on the engine, idle controls totally dead. RPM low.
  4. Horrid loss of engine power, if car will not move fast , this be it.

i think that is it.

Engine ran out of oil while driving. I'm not sure if the engine seized. The car turns over at first then dies. If I give gas while turning the key, the car will turn over but will die when no gas is...

Well if your car has run out of oil when driving you should not be trying to turn over the engine till you have checked that the engine has not seized (you should always assume it has seized). Remove the head and check that the pistons are still in working order and TDC before trying to start the the sounds of things your car has seized.

Engine was knocking then the hole truck stoped going will not turn on but makes a clicking when it is started.

Me thinks you may have seized the engine, did it have oil in the sump and did it have coolant in the cooling system when it stopped running

I have a 2001 Isuzu Trooper and when I turn on the air conditioning the engine quits, what could be the problem?

AC pump seized up, or alternator not producing enough power to run it. Loose battery terminal connections or ground cable. Try turning the pump by hand when the engine is not running. You should be able to turn the end of it.

Isuzu rodeo engine seized. how can you check for what is the caus

If engine has seized, the likely cause is that a crankshaft/rod bearing has failed. Unless you ran vehicle low on oil, this can generally be considered to be a material failure. (unless you ran the rpms up way over "redline") Generally the engine can now be regarded as JUNK and just be replaced. You can remove the cylinder head and inspect it to see if it's re-usable, but you should not try to turn it by hand while installed, or you may bend valves. If you decide to re-use it, you will need to completely clean it to remove debris from failure otherwise any junk in passageways can destroy the block bearings in the new one you bolted it to.
