SOURCE: 1999 toyota avalon horn works intermitely

I would suggest to you to have the spiral cable (or 'clockspring') replaced. This is the electrical unit that transfers power to the air bag, the horn and the cruise control.

It is located right under the seering wheel.

Your description of the issue indicates to me that your spiral cable is loose, and making intermittant contact. If the vehicle had an air-bag deployment, this cable-device should have been changed.

SOURCE: 2003 parking bulb toyota tacoma

OK, I just fixed mine. The unit pulls out. You have to get a screwdiriver, wrap it with a cloth so it doesn't scratch the paint, then gently wedge the entire unit out. When it pops out, you'll see the clips that keep it in place. You might think its breaking when you pull it out, but trust me this is how you do. Just be gentle with it. After you get the unit out, simply take the socket out and replace the bulb. I did it in five minutes.

The 2003 Toyota Avalon has a high beam bulb and a low beam bulb, so it is possible the low beam bulbs have burned out. Your low beams are bulb# 9006 Type A. You can see a diagram on how to change them here: http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM41401U/pdf/7-3.pdf Another possibility is the fuses are blown. Each bulb has it's own fuse and you can see the fuse locations here: http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM41401U/pdf/8.pdf

These are your 2 most likely and easy-to-fix solutions, so hopefully your problem will be resolved by one of these. Good luck!

Ashtray bulb

Pull the ashtray out. Then remove ashtray holder-probably 2 Phillips head screws. Light socket may be attached to holder, or may be accessed with holder out of the way. I think those bulbs would be push-in type-bulb is probably 194 or 168 designation.

THE LIGHT IN ASHTRAY FOR 2003 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER IS OUT..

if the lighter works its probably not a fuse. to find your fuse box look on the driver side kick panel by your left foot or in the dash. if the lighter is working youll have to replace the light do this by pulling the ash tray out of the cradle there should be a wire that plugs into the back of the tray twist it out usually counter clockwise and this will expose the light. pull the light out repace with a fresh bulb and your in business.

Burned out brake light (middle top light)

Take a putty knife and slide it under the front of the cover to release it from the area behind the back seat and pull it forward. Then twist the bulb holder out of the cover. The bulb pulls out of the holder . Replace bulb and reassemble.
