SOURCE: Toyota Camry 1995 Check Engine Light (stays on)

usually when this occurs (engine light) the ecm has detected some type of failure with one or components of the engine. ur gonna need to have a diagnostic scan done to determine the source. If the vehicle is OBD certified autozone part stores will do it for free. to be sure that its not just a minor "hickup" u can reset yous car's ecm urself by disconnecting the positive battery for 1 minute. if the engine light returns then i would have a diagnostic scan done. SOURCE: Toyota V6 fuel pressure amount

The fuel pressure regulator is on the driver side fuel rail, close to the back of the engine. You need to pull the intake plenum off to access the pressure regulator.

The normal operating fuel pressure is 38 to 44 PSI

SOURCE: Black smoke is coming from my exhaust on my 1993

If its BLACK smoke it's unburned fuel. If it has carb, the carb float is too high or sunk. If it has fuel injection it's a stuck (open) fuel injector.

Toyota camry was running fine now it won't start when i jump it the car stalls and won't start

Could be either a fuel delivery problem or an ignition problem. Replace the fuel filter and check for correct fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Replace the fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, and pickup strainer as necessary. If the fuel pressure is correct at the fuel rail, begin diagnosing for an ignition system issue.

95' camry wagon, fuel pump only comes on when key is turned to start position. if car starts will not stay running. how do i check the fuel pressure regulator /

I don't think the EFI relay is at fault. Other things would be dead if it was, including the starter. See here p177 to test fuel pressure, which may be too low if the fuel pump itself or the pressure regulator is faulty.

Scanercode shows code #26 mixture control rich in my 1995 toyota camry how to fix the problem

It could be one of several causes, listed here p 363

http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/eg1.pdf

Of these I think the most likely is an air leak into the induction system. Toyotas do sometimes develop a split in the big hose from the air cleaner housing to the intake manifold assembly on the engine.

Next most likely is fuel pressure being too low, due to a blocked filter, failing pump, or defective pressure regulator on the fuel rail. See p167 for procedures.

1994 toyota camry when you turn it off it wont start intill it cools off

When cold the engine gets additional fuel, so check that the fuel pressure is OK, and the fuel pressure regulator has not failed open. See here, p175
http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/eg1.pdf

Also check the air filter is not clogged, and the battery connections are tight and clean.

My 1994 toyota camry idles then dies out

I would inspect the large flexible hose, between the air cleaner box and the intake manifold, for a crack or hole.

Also possible is low fuel pressure or a faulty fuel pressure regulator. To check this you need a fuel pressure gauge connected at the fuel delivery rail.

Inst 2 iac motors from carquest on a 95 camry 4 cyl sedan, still has same problem, idle fluctuates then dies out after running 30 minutes.please advise

Check timing, vacuum lines for leaks, battery and alternator for proper voltage output, ignition coil in distributor for cracks. If all are ok, have the injectors and fuel pressure regulator.

1996 toyota camry 2.2 starts hard or intermittently. Will stall while idling.

There are many things in that engine that could cause a hard start and stalling when started, but first thing you can look at are these:
  • Malfunctioning fuel system like fuel filter , fuel pressure regulator and/or fuel filter clogged.
  • Faulty or damp ignition system this include spark plug wires, coils, etc.
  • Faulty coolant temperature sensor.
  • Vacuum leak in fuel injection system.
You'll be able to solve the problem by looking at these problem parts. Hope it helps and please don't forget to rate the answer if it was helpful, thanks!
