Question about Honda Civic
The problems started after the car sat for a few days and the battery went dead. We put it on the charger and after it was charged I opened the door and the door chime started chiming interment, the dash lights and park lights blink 30 times. I can start and drive the vehicle and as soon as I turn on the headlights all blinking stops. I unhooked the neg. battery cable, now the door chime doesn't sound but the blinking dash and park lights continues. Please help!! Thanks

SOURCE: Intermitten chime sound
Your door might be closed but the door switch plunger is telling the computer is ajar.
Suggest you start with that door switch. If that don't cure it, send me a note.
You also need to check your ignition cylinder switch. Maybe the contacts are worn out.
There is a harness under the driver seat, mostly for the hand break, but check it out make sure its grounded properly. Some of this problems are caused by poor ground. In your case I can be more specific, but let me know first where you able to correct it, by checking the door switch.

Sounds like a problem with the computer, or alarm system,
A budy of mine had a similar problem with the locks, it turned out that the alarm clicker was shorting out..

The computer detected a fault. You SHOULD NOT drive it around with that blinking, or you will regret it. Take it to the dealership immediately and have them pull the code.
