When you operate the brakes, does the brake light come on? If not, then check and/or replace your brake switch (located towards the top of the brake pedal).
If your brake light works, then check the gear shift lock solenoid operation. Check for power to the solenoid, when the brake pedal is depressed and check the solenoid movement. Replace if necessary.
Firmly press down on the brake light cover. Press down into the rear deck. This will release the bezel from the teeth on the metal housing. Now slide it forward ( toward the front of the car) while holding it firmly pressed down into the rear deck. Once removed you will see how the metal teeth on the bottom of the metal housing bracket bit into the plastic bezel.
there is a sensor in your mastercylinder that senses brake fluid level it is probably low.check your brake pads they could be close to needing replaced.
look in the trunk you will see the nuts that hold the tail light assembly in place just remove them and the tail light will come out but dont force it.
