Driver's side visor on 2006

Same problem happened recently to me. Started to not stay up prperly and then broke completely. Removed cover where attaches to roof and removed screws to remove it. i live in NC with high humidity. Possibly the problem as was mentioned in previous post. Local dealer quoted a price of $98 to replace it. I hve 63K on car. I'll probably fix it myself.

Installing a sun visor, right side. 2007 Hyundai, bought new. Right side visor wouldn't stay up, replace by dealer under warranty. Left side visor did same thing at 67000 miles, not covered. New...

There is usually a cosmetic cover hiding the two phillips head screws which attach the visor to the overhead. These covers 'clip' in place and can be removed using a small flat tip screwdriver. Once removed, you can then access these two phillips head screws. Remove the screws & gently remove the visor. You will find a wire harness connector to the visor. Find the release tab on the connector & press on it to disconnect the visor from the wire harness in the overhead. Installation is reverse of removel.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, illustrations and procedures, etc.

Drivers side sun visor, 2006 Toyota rav 4 will not stay up

there isnt really a quick fix for this, i suggest you buy another sun viser from the dealers and fit it in.

its realy easy to fit, it normaly just has a cosmetic cover that goes over the screw, pop this cover off, remove the screw and refit the new sun visor.

Sun visor on 2005 Nissan Murano won't stay up/falls down

go to a dealership with a screwdriver and your broken sun visor in hand. take out a nissan murano with an interior that matches yours for a test drive and perform a switch on the sun visors. install your broken visor in place of the one that works, and take the one that works out of the car that your test driving.

Problem solved, its free, and you didn't have to get creative to fix the problem. Plus, they can't blame you for a broken visor considering that they fail in these cars all the time. You're welcome!!!

Sun visor on driver's side won't stay up or all the way down. 2006 Sonata I have the same problem with my 2007 Sonata driver side sun visor broke and will not stay up but keeps droping down in my view....

I have a 2007 Sonata and the driver's side sun visor broke. I called the dealership where I purchased the car, and was told that they only cover it for 5 years/60,000 miles. So if your's is broken, get it in there before the warranty expires. Otherwise the cost is around $80 for the visor unit.

Sun visor on 2006 Kia Optima has lost it's spring tension and will not stay in the upright position.

My daughter had the same problem with her visor. I put velcro on the visor to try to keep it up out of the way but after a while the velcro came lose and the visor came down again. I called KIA and talked with a technician. I was told that in order to fix the visor I would have to remove the cloth so I should be able to sew. Not a viable solution. We ended up taking her car in and had a new visor put on. It was covered under warranty. Had problems with headlights going out. Bought the replacement bulbs from NAPA. They only lasted a few months. Started purchasing the bulbs from the dealer and have not had to replace them for over a year. Have to pay a little more but it is worth not having to hassle with their replacement.

Sun visor on driver's side won't stay up or all the way down. 2006 Sonata

This works on any visor. Obtain a small clamp as used in wiring harnesses. On the shaft end of the visor, 1/2 inch from the end, install the clamp around the visor and the shaft. Drill a hole through the visor for the clamp screw and tighten as needed. I might be a redneck, but it works!!
