The low or dying battery may have tricked the alarm to set off. Have your battery tested. It will have to be charged up again first, but it should be fully tested. Either it or your charging system may have a problem to cause a dead battery in the first place.
When you have reinstalled a good battery, turn the key to on and observe the security light and the check engine light. They should both come on as a bulb alert that both are working, and the security light should turn off in about 5 seconds. The check engine light should go off as soon as the engine is started. If all systems go, so far, then now would be a good time to do a simple test of the charging system. Anyone with a voltmeter could do it.
its possible that the coils of the anternator are worn out. then the batterie dont charge.take voltmeter and see if the engine, is running ,if you read some 14.50 volts on the batterie is good. if you read 12 or 13 volts is bad the anternator
The two circuits your complaining about have only one thing in common, the vehicles charging system.
I suggest you have the battery ,cables, alternator and wires behind alternator checked out.
The only other item I could think of regarding the cruse control is vacuum. But then it would happen all the time, thats why I believe it to be electrical in nature.
im just gonna take a stab in the dark here i understand that your security light is on try unlocking your door with your key sometimes you just need to reset the security. otherwise ive seen a security module go bad that may be preventing you from starting it.
sounds like your engine immobiliser fuel cut off is activating.try taking battery teminals off,re-connect and re activate your immobiliser fob the usual way,**** it will re-set itself,& or your fob battery may need changing,it,s anti-theft cut off that is your problem.good luck.
Make sure you have 12 volts from the positive side of the battery to the starter. Check the small wire on the starter solenoid and make sure you have 12 volts when cranking engine. If voltage is correct, the starter is bad
