The front passenger side door lock responds slowly

The front passenger side door lock responds slowly when I press the key fob to unlock the door. It really does not open when it is cold outside. Sometimes, I have to press lock/unlock a couple of times to get the lock to pop up. BMW x5 2003

I have and still have the same problem! one thing I did read was it's the lock itself inside the door, which if youdont get it sorted will be a pricey job. My drivers side door has now completly closed now and won't open (having to jump over other side to drive) Anyhow it can be done yourself but it's a fiddley job.
