SOURCE: Instrument cluster failure causes fuse #29 to blow.
ok it could be quite simple
lets look at wrong size fuse
example 15 and you need a 25 fuse
also if you did any work on vehicle its quite possible that you grounded something out wrong retrace your work and fix accordingly
bad cluster relay is another problem that would cause these problems

check for loose connection at the instrument cluster.
SOURCE: 1991 Dodge Daytona Speedometer and Odometer not working.
I had the same problem with my 90 daytona. The tach and the speedometer would work intermitantly. I took the whole gauge cluster out, and heated all the soldering with a solder gun to reflow the connections. It seems that this is a common problem with the connections cracking. You may not be able to see the cracks in the solder.
SOURCE: speedometer and odometer not working 92 audi 100
I had similar problems with speedos in two 1990 Audi 100s, it was some time ago, but the contacts on the circuit boards on the back of the speedo deteriorate and do not give a good contact. I bought second hand speedos, only to find they had similar problems, eventually it was very easy to fix, I shaved matchsticks to chisel points and pushed them into the circuit boards to add pressure on the contacts and improve connection. After that repair drove the cars for a few years and the problem did not recur. It was a long time ago and I cannot remember exactly where the matchsticks were placed but look for soldered points near the edges of the boards. Regards, Michael

Bill would you know if the TCM I fixed this mans truck. I have the exact same problem. Is the TCM I the transmission control module. would you know where it's located. I checked the cluster it seems fine. Please help Thank you
THe TCM ( transmission control module )is the small computer control that operates the transmission
You still have not had the fault codes read but looking at your statement again one common item that reports to the TCM , the speedo , and overdrive --is the vehicle speed sensor (VSS)
They fail on a regular basis
