I am trying to install a seven prong receptacle on the rear of my 2005 duramax. I was wondering if there was a diagram available. I do know that it is different than the 2007 that a friend of mine has. Thanks a lot.

No, Wiring of trailer plugs is or has a universal patern so there isn't a "matching" of towing and towed vehicles. In order tow without restriction, they are all wired the same until it comes tothe number of wires and connector confinfiguration. Like 7 way, 6 way, 4 way plugs and recepticles. Your friends plug is wired the same as yours should be as long as he too has a7 way of the same type.If you have yet to by your plug, the intructions come with it complete with wire identication and position . -- good luck

I Have an 2005 chevy duramax. i purchased and S&H horse Trailer. When i plug a five prong round into the seven pin with an adapter the horse trailer on the passenger side wheel locks and drags

I would start by making sure the emergency break away switch has the plunger in it and it's working properly. If everything is OK with that then the 5 pin plug must be wired incorrectly. If you only tow the trailer with that truck I would suggest changing to a seven pin connector on the trailer. It would appear you also have a problem with the left trailer brake. They should work together.

Auxiliary battery use

The extra battery is there because of the glow plugs and intake heater of the duramax. During cold weather both of these systems draw high amperage from the batteries. A single battery will function, but not as well as a pair.

Hyundai Santa Fe, 2005, 3.5L ignition coil question

That doesn't sound like an ignition coil. And coils are not expensive, about $20 for most of them.
There may be an ignition control module on the car (which is used to control the coil's circuit for causing spark) but I'm not sure that is what you mean. On GM cars, for instance, this part costs about $40.
The word 'boot' and the 3 prong receptacle do not ring a bell with me, sorry.
