Neither does my perfect, 04 GV , ever.... when.........
this is like the 1000 post for 4wd, an not one states
the road conditions. what are you driving ON >?
this car has Part time 4wd , NOT full time.
that means it's not to be driven on dry pavement in 4wd.
the operators guide tells you that.
PT 4wd is for ICE/SNOWpack and offroad, only.

what will happen if you do try to use 4wd is.
1: it will not engage.
2: or will engage but will hot dis-engage due to....
3: wind up. Suz, even has a UNWIND TSB !!!
TSB is a trouble service, bulletin.

dry means , ICE free

Why wont my 2002 chevy tahoe go in to fourwheel drive i can hear both acutores kick in

There could be a few possible causes for your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe not going into four-wheel drive when you engage the system. Some common issues include:

The four-wheel drive system may not be properly engaged. Make sure that the four-wheel drive switch is in the correct position and that you are following the proper procedure for engaging the system.

The four-wheel drive system may be mechanically damaged. This could be caused by a problem with the transfer case, the drive axles, or other components of the system.

There may be a problem with the four-wheel drive system's control module or other electrical components.

There may be a problem with the four-wheel drive system's vacuum lines or other mechanical components.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following steps:

Check the four-wheel drive switch and make sure it is in the correct position.

Check the four-wheel drive system's control module and make sure it is functioning properly.

Check the four-wheel drive system's vacuum lines and make sure they are not damaged or disconnected.

If the issue persists, it may be necessary to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic.

If you are not comfortable performing these steps, or if the issue persists after trying these troubleshooting steps, it may be a good idea to contact a mechanic or a Chevrolet dealership for further assistance.

Four wheel drive engages and kicks out, light comes on and stays on and then kicks out the transfer case shifter

I would suspect you have a bad wheel speed sensor or a speed sensor defective... do you have an ABS/CheckEngine/4 wheel drive light on somewhere on the vehicle display... That might help fix the problem.

My 2006 trailblazer kicks in four wheel drive but the light stays on for 2 wd and flashes on 4wd high

It depend on how fast your going when you kick in four wheel drive. You should be doing no more than 20 mph for it to kick in.

My 97 z71 wont shift from 4wd back into 2wd

sometimes you have to reverse for it to kick out of four wheel drive. Make sure you put the truck into neutral before you switch out of four wheel drive into two wheel drive. If that doesn't work, your transmission might be sticking.

I have a 1999 kia sportage four wheel drive and it will go into four wheel drive sometimes, you can hear it trying to kick in.the front drive shaft goes around all the time it is trying.it makes a faint...

Vacume line is leaking and do not engaga fully. Vacume pipe an front wheels. 2 pipes 1 for brakes 1 for vacume. Pipe (rubber) connect by means of pushing it over the steel pipe. Easy to replace. Willem SA
