My a/c in my buick wont work what could be wrong and what are the cost

Could be a few thing's , you need to have it checked by a qualified repair shop .

Could be your neutral safety switch,if it's driveable,go to Autozone and they will scan it for free and tell you what's wrong,they will give to TROUBLE CODE,GO ON LINE TO GOOGLE AND ENTER AND IT WILL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG.

When parked on an incline, engage emergency brake FIRST, then shift into Park. Hope this helps! Works for my Buick.

Very hard to say what is wrong without a bit of troubleshooting. I'm assuming your blower works but is blowing cold air. Can you check a few things and get back to us? Worse case is a clogged heater core, which could be expensive when including labor. At least $500.
If the problem is the blend door actuator, the cost will depend on whether you have automatic or manual control panel. The automatic panel allows you to set the temp digitally, and the actuator for the door costs $140 versus $40 for the manual version. Labor for this job is a couple hours.
If the problem is just air in the system, cost could be a s little as a gallon of anti-freeze, but then you need to figure out where the coolant went, which may have another cost to fix the leak.

the guys at autozone were delivering newspapers or pizzas two weeks ago and they are using a 30 dollar toy analyzer. go to a real garage with real mechanics and have them put their $3500 analyzer on it and you may get a better idea of what is wrong. this may well cost 40-65 dollars and will not include a repair.

Sounds like there is a refrigerant ( freon ) leak somewhere in the system. The A/C system will have to be partially refilled, and then leak tested. Only then will an accurate cost of repairs able to be determined. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with my 89 Buick Le sabre. It turned out that I had to replace the computer. It was giving the wrong signals and cutting off the fuel. My engine light came on each time it happened. Since the computer was changed it has run like a charm. It cost about $500.
Also when they ran the tests for the eng light data the computer was giving the wrong info and so many of the wrong parts were first replaced.

your main fuse and relay center is just belowe the windsheild under the hud.It say's fuse and relay center on it.
